Marina di Grosseto lies between the resort of Castiglion della Pescaia and the estuary of the River Ombrone. This area of pine woods and sandy beaches is a favourite holiday place and forms part of the great drainage scheme of the last century when the huge pine woods were planted to prevent erosion and to protect both the seashore and the arable farms inland. Perfect for both swimming and for shady walks in shade of the pine woods. It is also on the edge of the Maremma Nature Reserve in the hills of Monte dell’Uccellina and just a few kilometers from the ancient Etruscan towns of Sovana, Sorano and Pitigliano and the thermal baths of Saturnia. Guests can stay either in apartments just a few meters from the beach or in the pine woods of Rosmarina. The pictures of this page are only an example of some types of available apartments.
