The farmhouse dates back to 1001, when it was built as a guest house for the abbey of Isola. Over the centuries it became a convent with hospice along the via Francigena, and recently it has been transformed by the current owner into a welcoming country house with a lovely interior courtyard. Located at the foot of Mount Maggio, at the center of a small farm that produces grapes and olive oil, it’s in a tranquil spot among woods, vineyards and olive groves. The property enjoys a view of the surrounding countryside and offers a nice, shaded lawn with swimming pool. A classic, beautiful row of cypress trees runs along the road to the property. The apartments are furnished simply but comprehensively, and each one offers a private, well-equipped outdoor space and satellite TV. Access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road.
